What a short Bali trip covers

Five days is enough to see the essence of Bali, from the temples and rice terraces around Ubud to the beaches and cliffs of the south.

A typical package includes return flights, airport transfers, four nights in a hotel or resort and a set of guided activities.

Many travellers from India pick this length to fit school holidays or a short break from work.

A common five-day plan

This balances culture with free time. We move days around to suit you.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival and South Bali

Land at Denpasar, transfer to your hotel in Seminyak or Kuta, then an evening walk on the beach or a quiet dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Ubud

Sacred Monkey Forest, Tegallalang rice terraces and local craft markets, with a Balinese dance performance in the evening.

  3. Day 3

    Uluwatu and the south coast

Uluwatu Temple on its clifftop, the Kecak fire dance at sunset and time on Padang Padang or Bingin beach.

  4. Day 4

    Pool, spa or water sports

A slow day by the pool, a spa treatment, or parasailing and jet-skiing at Tanjung Benoa.

  5. Day 5

    Departure

A last Balinese breakfast, some souvenir shopping and a transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Standard or premium package

Both cover four nights. The difference is in the hotels, the transfers and how private the tours are.

Standard 5-day package

3-star hotels and group tours

  • Economy flights on set airlines
  • 3-star hotel with breakfast
  • Shared airport transfers
  • Group sightseeing on a fixed itinerary
  • Basic entry fees

Premium 5-day package

4–5 star resorts and private tours

  • Economy or business class, flexible airlines
  • 4–5 star resort with breakfast and some meals
  • Private airport and inter-hotel transfers
  • Private guided tours you can change
  • Entry fees plus activities such as a spa or cooking class

When to take a short trip

The dry season, April to October, suits beaches and outdoor sightseeing. It is also the busiest time.

The wet season, November to March, brings green landscapes and fewer crowds. Outside the festive weeks it is usually the cheaper time to go.

December and Christmas stay in high demand, so book early if you want those dates.
