Meet our editorial desk
The desk writes, checks and corrects the travel guides on this site. This is how it works, so you can judge our pages on method.

A working desk, not a directory
The India to Bali Travel Editorial Desk writes, checks and corrects the pages on this site. The pages carry the desk’s name rather than an invented byline.
This page explains how the desk works, so you can judge our pages on their method rather than on a portrait.
Pages the desk maintains most closely
The desk covers planning material: what a route costs in time and money, when conditions favour it, and what to book ahead rather than on arrival.
| Topic | What to know | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Best time to go | Dry and wet season in Bali, and which months suit travellers from India. | Best months |
| Vegetarian food | Where vegetarian and Indian food is easy to find in Bali, and what to ask for. | Food guide |
| Money | Converting rupees to rupiah, using ATMs and paying by card. | Currency guide |
| Flights | Non-stop and one-stop flights from Indian cities to Bali. | Flight guide |
| About and contact | Who we are and how to reach us. | About us |
How a page gets checked
Before a figure, rule or timeline goes on the site, the desk takes it back to the operators and offices that deliver the service.
If a number comes from an official notice, the page names the notice. If it comes from what operators quote in practice, the page says so, because readers plan differently for each.
Where a rule has not been confirmed against an official source, we say so. A dated “last checked” line is more useful than a claim of authority.

What the desk does not claim
- It holds no licence and issues no permit
- It grants no approval and is not a regulator
- It publishes no credentials, registration numbers or professional titles for its writers
- It is no substitute for a decision by the office that holds the authority
- Where the group has an interest, such as a service it sells or a partner it works with, the page says so
How corrections work
Rules change, prices move and schedules are rewritten without notice. If a page here is out of date or wrong, the desk would rather be told than find out later.
Corrections are made on the page itself, and the change is dated so a returning reader can see what moved.
